Join Kirk Humanitarian in a global movement to ensure UNIMMAP MMS reaches every pregnant woman.
We are facing a global crisis of nutrition among women and newborns. Despite this challenge, the path forward is clear: high-impact and affordable nutrition interventions exist and are ready to be deployed within a strengthened antenatal care system.
To support governments as they plan for a sustainable introduction and scale-up of MMS systems in their country, we invite donors, decision-makers, and advocates to:
- Discover investment opportunities by reading the MMS Resource Mobilization Roadmap. Join the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, the Eleanor Crook Foundation, and Kirk Humanitarian as we collectively commit at least $250 million over the next six years to expand the adoption of MMS in countries where the burden of malnutrition is highest.
- Support and endorse the implementation of UNICEF’s Improving Maternal Nutrition Acceleration Plan. If fully supported and resourced by donor governments, philanthropists, and other partners, this groundbreaking initiative has the potential to reach a total of 16 million women in 16 countries by the end of 2025 with a package of essential services.
- Access an initial UNIMMAP MMS supply. Kirk Humanitarian is donating $35 million in UNIMMAP MMS product to the Child Nutrition Fund (CNF) and encourages government officials in low- and middle-income countries to access MMS product supply through the CNF or alternative mechanisms. Additionally, we provide product to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) affected by a humanitarian crisis.
- Prioritize maternal nutrition on global, regional, and national health agendas and support national governments as they transition to MMS. For more MMS advocacy resources and tools, visit the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Knowledge Hub.
