DATA RETENTION

Except where otherwise required by law, we will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you with our services as you have requested, maintain and manage our contact database, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

Our website may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by those other sites. A link to another website does not constitute endorsement of that site or any of the content or information provided by that site. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy policies of each website that collects personal information.

HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not sell information that is collected from our website or share it with outside persons or entities, except (1) when we retain their services to help us analyze or process the information or to update our database and (2) we may share your personal information with other non-governmental organizations with whom we work.

RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Opt-Out. If you wish to have information that you have provided to us deleted from our database, you may do so by contacting us at contact@kirkhumanitarian.org. If you request the deletion of such information, we may retain certain information as required by law or when necessary for legitimate business recordkeeping purposes.

Correction. You have the right to access your personal information and to correct, amend, or delete such personal information if it is inaccurate. Requests for access, correction, amendment, or deletion should be sent to contact@kirkhumanitarian.org.

“Do Not Track Requests.” You may also set up your browser so that it sends a so-called “do not track” signal to websites you visit. Because we never track your activities across websites or use website usage information to allow behavioral advertising companies, analytics companies, or others to track your use of our website for third-party marketing purposes, your use of the “do not track” signal does not alter the way we collect personal information.

To make such a request, please send an email to at contact@kirkhumanitarian.org.

EUROPEAN DATA PRIVACY

If our processing of your information is subject to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), we may have obligations to you and you have additional rights under the GDPR.

We will process your personal data in order to provide our website to you. The lawful bases under GDPR for processing your data may include:

  • when you have given consent;
  • when processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract; or
  • when processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests or that of a third party, except where such interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights.

We may rely on more than one of the lawful bases under GDPR for processing your information described above.

In addition, under the GDPR, you may have the following rights:

  • the right to confirmation as to whether we process your personal data and the right to access such personal data;
  • the right to rectification;

  • the right to complain to a supervisory authority; and
  • the right to withdraw consent.

In some circumstances, these rights are qualified or limited by countervailing interests. Nevertheless, if you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@kirkhumanitarian.org.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant EU supervisory authority.

We do not currently engage in the transfer of personal information to or from other data controllers or data processors in which data would leave the European Economic Area. Likewise, we do not transfer the personal information that we have collected on our United States-based systems to any other countries outside the European Union.

If you are under 16, please do not register with us or provide us with any personally identifying information.
